The next Attorney General will oversee both the ATF and the FBI \u2013 which have notoriously and viciously cracked down on your God-given rights.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, there are growing concerns among many gun owners that President Trump\u2019s nominee for Attorney General \u2013 Pam Bondi \u2013 has a mixed record on the Second Amendment.<\/em><\/p>\n GOA just got word that the Senate Judiciary Committee will be holding a hearing next week for Pam Bondi.<\/strong><\/p>\n While she has taken some pro-gun stances and actions in the past, GOA proudly holds a \u201cNO-COMPROMISE\u201d stance on the Second Amendment \u2013 which is why we want to call attention to some red flags in her record as Florida Attorney General:<\/u><\/p>\n Pam Bondi has praised the Parkland gun control \u2013 which included “red flag” gun confiscation orders, a gun ban for 18-20 year olds, and a useless bump stock ban.<\/p>\n In her capacity as Florida Attorney General, Pam Bondi both defended Parkland’s 18-20 year old gun ban AND fought to uphold Florida’s unconstitutional ban on open carry.<\/p>\n Pam Bondi also helped unrepentant then-Governor Rick Scott draft a \u201cgun violence restraining order\u201d \u2013 a.k.a. a gun confiscation law in Florida.<\/p>\n Overall, her track record of protecting the Second Amendment can be described, at best, as a mixed bag. That\u2019s simply not good enough.<\/u><\/p>\n For the last four years, gun owners suffered under the yoke of anti-gun tyrant Merrick Garland, and we saw firsthand how easy it is for an anti-gun Attorney General to abuse their power to infringe on the Constitution.<\/p>\n That\u2019s why it\u2019s so important that we make sure that the Trump Department of Justice recognizes that gun ownership is a God-given right guaranteed by the Constitution and that gun owners are public safety partners for law enforcement\u2014not a subset of Americans to be policed.<\/p>\n To do that, we need YOU<\/strong> to contact your Senators and urge them to demand answers from Pam Bondi so gun owners know exactly<\/em> where she stands on the Second Amendment.<\/p>\n
