If these bills pass, they\u00a0will amend the\u00a0Handgun\u00a0Licensure Act to do the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prohibit an individual from manufacturing, assembling, importing, purchasing, selling, or transferring a firearm, frame, or receiver that did not have a valid serial number.<\/li>\n<li>Beginning January 1, 2025, prohibit a person from knowingly possessing a firearm or any completed or unfinished frame or receiver that was not imprinted with a valid serial number.<\/li>\n<li>Prohibit the use of a 3D printer or CNC milling machine for unlicensed firearm manufacturing.<\/li>\n<li>Prohibit the sale of 3D printers or CNC milling machines for the purpose of unlicensed firearm manufacturing and specify that there would be a presumption that the machines would be intended for manufacturing if marketed as such.<\/li>\n<li>Prohibit an unlicensed individual from manufacturing more than three firearms annually and require the individual to notify the MSP within 10 days of producing a firearm.<\/li>\n<li>Prescribe misdemeanor and felony penalties for violating the bill&#8217;s provisions.<\/li>\n<li>Require a person who moved into the State to comply with the serialization requirements within 90 days of moving.<\/li>\n<li>Building homemade firearms is an American tradition that has existed since the founding of our country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"ui-provider ah yr ik agw agx agy agz aha ahb ahc ahd ahe ahf ahg ahh ahi ahj ahk ahl ahm ahn aho ahp ahq ahr ahs aht ahu ahv ahw ahx ahy ahz aia aib\" dir=\"ltr\">You will note that all of the new \u201ccrimes\u201d listed above are harmless activities that thousands of non-violent gun owners perform.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 14px\">No legislator should be sponsoring, let alone voting for SB 1149 and SB 1150 which constitute a direct attack on the Second Amendment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 14px\">Please contact your Senator and let them know we will not stand for this encroachment on our rights.<\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunowners.org\/mi12102024\/\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\ufeff Michigan State\u00a0Senator Mallory McMorrow\u00a0is directly attacking your\u00a0right\u00a0to keep and bear arms.
