Yesterday, anti-gun lawmakers in Lansing sneakily\u00a0added\u00a0gun control to a\u00a0general school aid package.<\/p>\n
And right before their deadline, they quickly rammed through the final version of the bill where it passed by a 98-11 margin in the House, and a 23-15 margin in the Senate.<\/p>\n
So what gun kind of tyrannical gun control did they include?<\/p>\n
Lawmakers\u00a0added a provision\u00a0which\u00a0allocates\u00a0$1,000,000 of school funding to\u00a0build a state-wide\u00a0\u201ctip\u00a0support\u00a0hot-line\u201d\u00a0for students to anonymously report\u00a0their parents or legal guardian for \u201cimproperly\u201d\u00a0stored firearms that are accessible to a minor.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The penalty in Michigan for breaking this law?<\/p>\n
A misdemeanor punishable by\u00a0time\u00a0in jail\u00a0and\u00a0a fine\u00a0\u2013 with provisions which can rise to a felony offense.<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t need to tell you that this is not only a misuse of taxpayer funds, but also a violation of\u00a0your\u00a0Second Amendments\u00a0rights\u00a0and a state sponsored manipulation of your children.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The state of Michigan has now decided to try and turn your children against you by having them report on your private gun storage. This is unacceptable.<\/p>\n
The anti-gun representatives who added this change must be held accountable.<\/p>\n
