Gov. John Fetterman has a few ideas for ushering in crushing blows to the Second Amendment should he be elected in November. The man who once <a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration-line: none; color: #3d506c; background-color: transparent;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/fetterman-once-pulled-a-shotgun-on-a-black-jogger-yet-democrats-are-supporting-him\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\">wielded a<\/strong>\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\">shotgun<\/strong><\/a> against an African-American man he wrongfully believed was involved in a crime wants to obliterate your gun rights.<\/p>\n<p>Lt. Gov. Fetterman, the tattooed, hoodie-wearing, Senate candidate vying for the Senate seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) wants to become President Joe Biden\u2019s biggest gun control ally. He\u2019s got a few thoughts on gun control, all of which would relegate the Second Amendment back to being a second-class right.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>AR-15s<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Lt. Gov. Fetterman\u2019s radical gun control ideas go further than the far-left proposals that even President Biden has proposed. President Biden\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration-line: none; color: #3d506c; background-color: transparent;\" href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/campaign\/3621471-biden-makes-plea-for-assault-weapon-ban-what-the-hells-the-matter-with-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\">unceasingly begs<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0Congress to deliver him legislation to ban the sale of the most-popular selling centerfire rifle in America.<\/p>\n<p>The Modern Sporting Rifle (MSR) \u2013 or AR-15 style rifle \u2013 continues to be the target of Democrats and their gun control supporters, despite the fact that murders by all rifles comprise just\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration-line: none; color: #3d506c; background-color: transparent;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/fact-tank\/2022\/02\/03\/what-the-data-says-about-gun-deaths-in-the-u-s\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\">three percent<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0of all murders, not just AR-15s. There are over\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration-line: none; color: #3d506c; background-color: transparent;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nssf.org\/articles\/commonly-owned-nssf-announces-over-24-million-msrs-in-circulation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\">24.4 million MSRs<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in circulation today. Fetterman is able to change his job title to \u201csenator.\u201d He isn\u2019t satisfied with a ban on MSR sales. He wants to make it illegal to possess one.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve always supported a ban to the assault rifle ownership,\u201d Lt. Gov. Fetterman\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\"><a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration-line: none; color: #3d506c; background-color: transparent;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/2nd-amendment\/2022\/10\/03\/exclusive-video-democrat-john-fetterman-wants-ban-ownership-rifles-not-just-sale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stated<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0on April 11. \u201cWe should not have weapons of war in the hands of civilians.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the often-repeated and completely false line that gun control ginned up to villainize the black rifle that\u2019s similar in appearance to the military\u2019s M-16 and M-4. The <em>Washington Post<\/em>\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\"><a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration-line: none; color: #3d506c; background-color: transparent;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/the-fix\/wp\/2013\/01\/17\/is-it-fair-to-call-them-assault-weapons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0that Josh Sugarmann, of the gun control group Violence Policy Center, coined the term \u201cassault weapon\u201d in 1989 to confuse those who didn\u2019t know the difference between the two.<\/p>\n<p>Thirty years later, Lt. Gov. Fetterman is still at it.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Kill the Filibuster<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Lt. Gov. Fetterman knows that the Senate procedural rule known as the \u201cfilibuster\u201d is what is preventing the Senate from steamrolling Americans\u2019 Constitutional rights. That\u2019s why he wants to <a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration-line: none; color: #3d506c; background-color: transparent;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/10\/03\/democrat-john-fetterman-wants-end-filibuster-push-gun-ban-through\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\">get rid<\/strong><\/a> of that, too.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s one of the main reasons why I called for the elimination of the filibuster. Fetterman talks a big game about tackling out-of-control crime, but is record proves differently.<\/p>\n<p>He\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\"><a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration-line: none; color: #3d506c; background-color: transparent;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/restoring-america\/fairness-justice\/democrats-earned-soft-on-crime-reputation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">scrubbed<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0any reference of Black Lives Matter from his website to keep anyone from connecting him with the group\u2019s police defunding movement. \u201cPardons and commutations have soared since Fetterman took office in 2019, consistent with his progressive philosophy on criminal justice reform,\u201d NBC News\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\"><a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration-line: none; color: #3d506c; background-color: transparent;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/2022-election\/fettermans-clemency-crusade-draws-soft-crime-attacks-oz-pennsylvania-s-rcna49055\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">On the left: Fetterman\u2019s website in February.<\/p>\n<p>On the right: Fetterman\u2019s website today.<\/p>\n<p>Why would he remove the \u2018Black Lives Matter\u2019 section? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/oSTzKeoElL\">pic.twitter.com\/oSTzKeoElL<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 RNC Research (@RNCResearch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1576933828261646338?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 3, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3><strong>Gun Control Plans<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Lt. Gov. Fetterman isn\u2019t just eyeing a ban on lawful firearm ownership, which raises its own Constitutional questions. He\u2019s carrying the water for gun control groups on other\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration-line: none; color: #3d506c; background-color: transparent;\" href=\"https:\/\/john-fetterman.medium.com\/gun-control-can-t-wait-8c8de85f339b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\">pet projects<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0too.<\/p>\n<p>He wants\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration-line: none; color: #3d506c; background-color: transparent;\" href=\"https:\/\/john-fetterman.medium.com\/gun-control-can-t-wait-8c8de85f339b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\">universal background checks<\/strong><\/a><strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\">,<\/strong>\u00a0unenforceable without the creation of a national firearm registry. A registry like that, of course, is a violation of federal law.<\/p>\n<p>He wants to\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\"><a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration-line: none; color: #3d506c; background-color: transparent;\" href=\"https:\/\/john-fetterman.medium.com\/gun-control-can-t-wait-8c8de85f339b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">repeal<\/a><\/strong> the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), which forbids lawsuits against the firearm industry for the crimes committed by remote third parties \u2013 commonly known as criminals. Lt. Gov. Fetterman wants to pin the blame for criminal actions on gun manufacturers, not the criminals who commit the crimes.<\/p>\n<p>Lt. Gov. Fetterman also wants to\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\"><a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration-line: none; color: #3d506c; background-color: transparent;\" href=\"https:\/\/john-fetterman.medium.com\/gun-control-can-t-wait-8c8de85f339b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eliminate<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0the \u201cDickey Amendment.\u201d That\u2019s the amendment that has been reaffirmed that keeps the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from advocating for gun control. Gov. Fetterman portrays himself as the center when it comes to gun owners, because, he says, \u201cI own guns. I went deer hunting when I was much younger,\u201d he said. He admitted, \u201cI have owned a Smith &amp; Wesson Model 500. In fact, I\u2019ve been around guns for most of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That must include the time when he\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\"><a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration-line: none; color: #3d506c; background-color: transparent;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/fetterman-once-pulled-a-shotgun-on-a-black-jogger-yet-democrats-are-supporting-him\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">admitted<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to wielding a shotgun against an African American man he saw jogging and suspected of committing a crime. Lt. Gov. Fetterman, \u201cchose to follow him in a pickup truck and pull a 20-gauge shotgun on him when he confronted the man. Fetterman used the gun to detain him until police arrived. Ultimately, the man was not involved in any wrongdoing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lt. Gov. Fetterman\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\"><a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration-line: none; color: #3d506c; background-color: transparent;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/fetterman-once-pulled-a-shotgun-on-a-black-jogger-yet-democrats-are-supporting-him\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">admitted<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in a 2013 interview, \u201cI believe I did the right thing, but I may have broken the law during the course of it,\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Gun Control Industry Support<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>None of that phases Lt. Gov. Fetterman, nor the gun control groups that support him. Everytown for Gun Safety, the gun control group financed by antigun billionaire and failed presidential contender Michael Bloomberg, committed to spending $2.1 million in ads supporting Lt. Gov. Fetterman\u2019s and other campaigns. Everytown will spend nearly half of that in Philadelphia alone.
