Following the guilty verdicts in his kangaroo trial in NYC last week, mainstream media types have gleefully seized on news that NYC police officials are moving to revoke his carry license.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/antoniopequenoiv\/2024\/06\/05\/trumps-next-legal-consequence-his-gun-license-poised-to-be-revoked-by-nypd\/?sh=1822538da832\">Forbes headlined their story<\/a>, \u201cTrump\u2019s Next Legal Consequence: His Gun License Poised To Be Revoked By NYPD\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>The New York Police Department is expected to pull former President Donald Trump\u2019s gun license, according to\u00a0<a class=\"color-link\" title=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/donald-trump\/trumps-gun-license-expected-revoked-conviction-hush-money-trial-rcna155740\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/donald-trump\/trumps-gun-license-expected-revoked-conviction-hush-money-trial-rcna155740\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/abc7ny.com\/post\/donald-trumps-new-york-gun-permit-revoked-conviction\/14915953\/\">WABC went with this headline<\/a>, \u201cDonald Trump\u2019s New York gun permit to be revoked following conviction: sources\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/2nd-amendment\/2024\/06\/05\/nypd-to-revoke-donald-trumps-concealed-carry-permit-because-of-felony-convictions\/\"><em>Breitbart<\/em> <\/a>has more:<\/p>\n<p class=\"subheading\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>The NYPD is preparing to revoke Donald Trump\u2019s concealed carry permit following the numerous felony convictions handed down by the jury last week.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>CNN\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/06\/05\/politics\/trump-gun-nypd-revoke\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">reported<\/a>\u00a0the permit was actually suspended on April 1, 2023, following Trump\u2019s indictment on various charges. The NYPD will now move beyond mere suspension, revoking the permit altogether.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>The\u00a0New York Times\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/06\/05\/nyregion\/trump-gun-license-nypd.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">noted<\/a>, \u201cUnder federal law and state law in New York and Florida, people with felony convictions are barred from possessing a firearm.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>A investigation into the matter is underway by the NYPD and it is anticipated that Trump\u2019s permit will be revoked once it ends. However, Trump \u201chas the right to file a challenge to the move.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>Trump is permitted to carry three specific handguns, two of which were surrendered to the NYPD on March 31, 2023. The third one was \u201cwas lawfully moved to Florida,\u201d according to senior law enforcement official.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Time will tell if President Trump receives a pardon or other judicial intervention to reverse the ruling from the partisan political hack judge\u2019s courtroom.
