Lest anyone think this Marquette University poll<\/a> was somehow skewed by a bad sample, the same poll also found a majority against the Dobbs<\/span><\/em> abortion decision by 35% to 65%. The Bruen <\/span><\/em>decision<\/span>, <\/span><\/em>on the other hand,<\/span>\u00a0has the support of two-thirds of Americans.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a breakdown of the responses to the Bruen<\/em> question . . .<\/p>\n

The gun control industry loves to pretend that Bruen<\/em> is somehow an aberrant, extremist ruling<\/a>, completely out of keeping with the culture. But as the Marquette poll shows, it\u2019s the gun control industry that\u2019s outside the mainstream.<\/p>\n

Bruen <\/span><\/em>is actually a bit more popular than Obergefell<\/em> (same-sex marriage) and it\u2019s<\/span> much less popular than SCOTUS\u2019s affirmative action ruling (79%). That was another one where Democrats continue to claim<\/a> that the Court was somehow radically extreme<\/a> when in fact, the decision has broad popular support.<\/p>\n

That criticism really only seems to apply to Dobbs<\/span>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Keep that in mind the next time you hear or read something claiming that the Court\u2019s broad interpretation of the right to keep and bear arms is somehow radical or extreme.<\/p>\n
